EDIBILITY: yuck

this is just some pics of this mushroom before it emerges from it's egg. I seriously thought it was a dead mans eye ball at first!

here's a pic of the fully mutured fruiting body (stole this off another site, until I get my own photo of one)

I know these grow in QLD but a friend showed me a pic they took of one in Tassie. 

Really alien and phallic looking, quite revolting.

Theres one that fruits regularl at the melbourne museum, and at the royal botanic gardens
